Astragalus is also considered an adaptogen, which is a class of natural substances that are believed to stimulate resistance to physical, environmental, and emotional stressors within your body. Similar to alfalfa, this herb is also in the Fabaceae family. Unlike Alfalfa, some species of Astragalus can contain nerve toxins and be poisonous for livestock. Astragalus Membranaceus is not known to contain any nerve toxins, and is primarily the type of Astragalus used in herbal supplements, but other species such as Astragalus lentiginosus & Astragalus mollissimus do contain "swainsonine" (nerve toxin), so if you go to purchase Astragalus on its own from a bulk supplier, it is important to know what you are getting.

This biennial herb is native to Northern Asia and Europe, but it is so abundant in the United States that many people think it is native. If you ever forage for Burdock, be sure to not confuse it with Rhubarb, whose leaves are poisonous due to its high levels of Oxalic Acid.
* Cacao Powder (Theobroma Cacao): Full of theobromine, flavonols, potassium, zinc, magnesium, calcium & iron. Cacao has more calcium than cow's milk and is the highest plant based source of iron and even has more iron than beef. Cacao grows on an evergreen tree and is in the Malvaceae family. Cedar Trees can be found in various parts of the world such as India, China, Morocco and several places in the USA. Cedarwood Essential Oil is generally made up of the same constituents from each of the different variations of Cedar around the world. Differences amongst Cedarwood Essential Oil expressed from the many Cedar Trees can include variations in scent, color and their strong suits for healing particular ailments. Generally, Cedarwood is used as an anti-inflammatory & antiseptic, reducing respiratory issues, boosting circulation, soothing your skin and healing acne, relaxing muscles and nerves along with many other benefits. Cedrus Deodora and Cedrus Atlantica are two of the more common essential oils I use in formulations.
* Chamomile Flower Whole (Chamomilla Recutita): Rich in antioxidants, antiseptic & antimicrobial properties, Chamomile is also a natural mood booster and pain reliever. This ingredient is a wonderful plant based alternative to help reduce anxiety, depression, insomnia and improve function in the digestive tract.
* Chaste Tree Berry (Vitex Agnus Castus): The Chasteberry is a unique herb, often referred to as Vitex, that can be beneficial to women especially. Those who struggle with PMS, irregular menstrual cycles, infertility and other gynecological issues, may find balance and healing within those areas when using Vitex as a "treatment". This herb may help stimulate progesterone or create hormonal stability within a person and is commonly used as a holistic alternative for women's health. There are studies that have been done to determine the effects of Chaste Berries benefits and side effects; while this herb may be great for women's health and gynecological issues, there is evidence that shows that it may bind to dopamine receptors which can decrease levels of dopamine. Effects can differ from person to person, so it is important to contact a health professional before incorporating new herbs into your routine.

This herb was chosen especially due to my Grandma’s experience with breast cancer, and her use of chlorella during chemo treatments to reduce pain/sickness, help her purify her body and heal. She has always expressed how magical this herb is and the positive effects it has on our health.
* Cinnamon (Korintje):
* Cinnamon Essential Oil (Cinnamon Cassia): There is a fairly wide variety of Cinnamon, but I most commonly use Cinnamon Cassia Essential Oil. For Dry Herbs, I often use Organic Ceylon Cinnamon or Organic Korintje Cinnamon. This plant is native to Sri Lanka, India and Southeast Asia, and cultivated in other tropical regions as they prefer warm, bright climates. Cinnamon is found in the inner bark on an Evergreen bush, but the leaves are often harvested as well. This herb is great for gastrointestinal issues, diarrhea and flatulence, reducing fever, boosting immunity, soothing arthritis, and relieving other aches and pains, gingivitis and calming anxious nerves. Cinnamon has a spicy, rich aroma, and is considered a "hot" oil, so it must be diluted well. Not recommended for those who are pregnant, children or anyone with skin sensitivity.
